I almost forgot. I cast on a new project last night.

I'm really excited about this. This is the first project I've started in a while that's been a real challenge for me. It's Fjalar, from Viking Knits. Here's a bad scan of the picture from the book.



It's fun to be working on something on the bleeding edge of my skill level.

The yarn is debbie bliss merino dk that I got on the recent webs sale. I hope I ordered enough, because they're already sold out.

I've been knitting like crazy lately. Mom loved her cabled socks, but I don't have a picture yet.

My latest FO is my first pair of gloves. I figured it would be a nice change from all the socks ;) I used some nice brown sheep sock yarn. The guage ended up being 9 stitches per inch, so they should be nice and dense/warm.


I had some left over fun fur in a matching shade so I threw that on the cuffs as a whim.

I'm still knitting away on the big baby project.
