At the young
age of 17 Lefty arrived at Boston Harbor with
only the clothes on his back from the
Netherlands where he was banished for the death
of a local thug in self-defense. While in
Boston Lefty became involved in the local fight
scene. As a quick contender with a powerful
left uppercut he become known and feared as
"Lefty". At the age of 29 Lefty was beaten to
near death during a match. While in
Boston purchasing hardware supplies, John
"Lucky" Lucker decided to wager on a local
fight. Upon observing the fight and losing $10,
Lucky could not help but feel sorry for Lefty
and spent two weeks nursing Lefty back
to health. During this time Lucky convinced
Lefty to go to Simsbury and join the Taverneers
where he has become feared with the lumber
instead of his left uppercut. |
