CareerAt the young age of 17 Lefty arrived at Boston Harbor with only the clothes on his back from the Netherlands where he was banished for the death of a local thug in self-defense.   While in Boston Lefty became involved in the local fight scene.  As a quick contender with a powerful left uppercut he become known and feared as "Lefty".  At the age of 29 Lefty was beaten to near death during a match. While in Boston purchasing hardware supplies, John "Lucky" Lucker decided to wager on a local fight.  Upon observing the fight and losing $10, Lucky could not help but feel sorry for Lefty and spent two weeks nursing Lefty back to health.  During this time Lucky convinced Lefty to go to Simsbury and join the Taverneers where he has become feared with the lumber instead of his left uppercut.
