Career:  J.O..” migrated across the Atlantic Ocean from the islands of Cape Verde on a Whaling ship to Southern New England.  He settled in working as a picker in the cranberry bogs of Cape Cod.   It was there where he first saw the game of baseball.  He observed American farmers playing the game for over a year before he was finally asked to play.  He was a natural and played regularly.  As the legend goes, he once hit four homeruns in one game.  He recently moved to Connecticut to pursue a career in baseball.
