The Taverneers had the honor to play an 1886 Vintage Base Ball Exhibition Game against the Providence Grays at Dodd Stadium in Norwich Connecticut (home of the Norwich Navigators - AA team for the San Francisco Giants) prior to the Navigators evening game.

Both teams adjusted well to the big stadium feel, the gorgeous outfield grass, the smooth as glass infield dirt, and the hundreds of spectators cheering the two teams on.

The Taverneers played an extremely strong game with excellent hitting, fielding, and base running.  A notable string of hits was made by Terry Deitz who hit 3 triples; one of which went nearly all the way to the right field wall!
