Career:       Laddie entered the family construction business in his hometown of Pittsfield, MA.  Laddie first played base ball in the city's neighborhood leagues and later played for the United States exhibition base ball team in the Midway at Chicago's World's Fair in 1893.  Following that, Laddie played for a few years in the stockyard leagues of Chicago before settline down in Simsbury, Connecticut.
