Career:  Hands began his playing career on the fields of New York with the Highlanders of Hoboken team before earning fame in CT.  The "kid" is most famous as a pitcher.  He has often been cited as the creator of the "slider of death",  a pitch he has used to lead the league 9 times in wins and complete games.
