Career:  Doc began playing base ball after friends asked him to play in a pickup game when he was hanging around a ball field, studying for his medical exam.  He started in the outfield but soon moved to the infield as his prowess and his ability to keep the ball in front of him regardless of the cost to his body and face became evident.  He has been known to pitch a few innings and watch out for in-your-ear if you crowd his plate.
