General Notes: Frank was the first of the Cooney's in Chicago. He came to the US and became a streetcar motorman in New York City. This was a well paying job. However, shortly after he got the job, the motormen went on strike. During the strike he couldn't get any other work. It was expected that a motorman would go back to work for the streetcar company as soon as the strike was settled. This was a hardship on Frank and his family. He heard that there was work for motormen in Chicago, probably from one of the Clarkes from Bailiebourough. So he took his family there.
