| Shala Wills begins her 5th year at Mountain Peak and will once again be teaching the 1st-2nd grade class. Her constant enthusiasm and ability to relate to each child at their own level are two big assets that she brings to us. Shala is a graduate of Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an area of concentration in Music. While there, she was Vice President of the "Council for Exceptional Children" and was the recipient of KSU's Promising Teacher Award. Shala enjoys singing outside of school for her church choir and at weddings. We are also very happy that she will continue to utilize her musical talents by once again heading up the Mountain Peak music program. "Mountain Peak Idol", the schools version of the show performed by our students in May, was inspired by Shala and is a highlight of every school year. Her genuine warmth, academic knowledge, and motivational expertise help each of her students climb new Peaks! | ||||||||
