"I went on vacation this weekend to Chicago and found the Mad River bar from your website. It is now a solid Eagles bar. The game is always showing (per the locals) and almost all of the crowd was dressed in Eagles green. They even have a special 'philly" menu with cheesesteaks and soft pretzels and they play the fight song over the loud speakers when we score a touchdown. It was like stepping out of chicago and into south philly. Thanks for the reccomendation- Aaron " (10/2008)

I checked your site when I first moved to Chicago and found that there is not ONE Eagles bar in the entire city. The two that you have on your site- Gamekeepers and Hi-Tops- I went to both and neither of them have Eagles fans. So, I would always go to this bar- it's a fantastic place to watch a game- huge big screen tvs all over the bar (2 huge rooms) and 2 tvs for every booth in the front room. Eagles game are ALWAYS showing (they have so many tvs that every single game shows every week- even all of the 1pm games) -small part of the bar roots for the Eagles -no cover charge, good food -the Chicago Steelers Fan Club takes over the front room of the bar during their game (and has an annoying polka band), however if you get to the bar about an hour before 1pm games you have no problem finding a place to sit in the back and you get to start drinking earlier). :-)

Upstairs there is a large crowd that always roots for the Eagles. That is why the sound is always on the Eagles. Get there early so you can get a seat on the couch and root for the Igles

(From Chicago)- Take I-88 west to Randall Road. Go North on Randall for approximately 10 miles. Bud's will be on right hand side just north of Roosevelt Road(Route 38).

Hugh 2-floor facility with a TV at every table (recessed in the wall), & at every seat up at the bar (they are recessed under the bar table). You can ask for whatever game you want at your table & the staff will put it on for you. Please note that seating can be a little tight when the bandwagon Bear & Packer fans decide to come out. Be sure to show up early for your seat on days when the Bears and Packers play at the same time slot. Good food. Reasonable lunch prices. Bottled beers at around $3.25 & many lunch offerings are around $6.
