Does anyone else have this photograph?
Does anyone know the years the photographers were at that address?
Could they be children of Norman Phelps and Margaret (_____) SMITH?
Norman Phelps SMITH (known as "Phelps"), a farmer of West Gwillumbury, Simcoe Co Ontario, was
born 25 Jan 1808 presumably in Thetford VT of Jethro and Hannah (FREEMAN) SMITH.
The children of Norman Phelps and Margaret (_____) SMITH were
* William SMITH who married Rebecca and inherited land in Plympton Co 26 Sep 1870 and was in
Lambton Co, where Sarnia is, in 1871.
* Susanna and Mary SMITH (see below) and possibly Olive, Hannah and Jane SMITH.
* John SMITH (possibly), b. c1841 and a resident of Tecumsuh Ontario in 1871.
* Joseph Phelps SMITH, b. c1850, who m. Emma Jane TURNER 6 Oct 1870 in Tecumseth (Anglican) and
inherited land in Plympton Co 26 Sep 1870 and was in Lambton Co, where Sarnia is, in 1871.
Susanna, born 6 Sep 1835 of Norman Phelps and Margaret (_____) SMITH, married Thomas G. GOODFELLOW
of West Gwillumbury and immigrated to the U.S. in 1858. They lived in PA, NJ (1863), DE (1864-7)
and then Brooklyn (1869-71) where Susanna died.
Thomas then settled in Chicago IL and married Mary SMITH, b. Jul 1838), who I think was
Susanna's sister. Thomas GOODFELLOW was a carpenter who helped rebuild Chicago after the
great fire.
