Talk about the sequence (first, next, last) of the story in the books that you read to your child. Predict what could happen in the book before you read to your child it by looking at the cover. We are learning to retell a story by looking at the pictures.
We will be describing what we look like.
Practice printing the letters Aa-Nn. Practice making the strokes going down.
Rhyming Words We are looking for words that sound the same except at the beginning. Syllables We are looking at the number of syllables in a word. Sound Discrimination We are listening for the beginning sounds in words.
We are learning that sentences begin with a capital letter and end with a period. We are learning to dictate sentences. The children are completing sentences. We are writing our names the “Kindergarten” way. ( large letter and then small letters for the rest)
We are listening for rhyme and rhythm. We are learning to expand our vocabulary. We are describing what we look like.
We are also learning to be good friends. We learn about how families cooperate. We are learning about family trees.
We are learning about platypuses. We are learning about our senses.. We are observing the effects of weather.
We are practicing doing the Sign of the Cross. We are working on the following prayers: Bless us, O Lord Glory to the Father Hail Mary We are learning about Creation.
