Talk about the characters and setting in the books that you read to your child.

Predict what could happen in the book before you read to your child it by looking at the cover.

We are learning to retell a story by looking at the pictures.

Have your child practice printing his/her name.

We are looking at the number of  syllables in a word.

We are learning that sentences begin with a capital letter and end with a period.

We are learning to dictate sentences.

     We will work on recognizing the basic shapes (circle, square, triangle, rectangle, moon, star, oval, diamond).  We will also be working on the rhombus, pentagon, hexagon, octagon and trapezoid.  In conclusion, we will also be working on the solid shapes (triangular prism, rectangular prism, pyramid, sphere, cube, cone, and cylinder).

We are learning to log on by ourselves.  We are learning to type in our user name and password.  We then log on to internet explorer.  We are learning to go to favorites and click on the two sites listed below.
