This is our "little" boat
I bought this boat on one of my trips to Canada. I saw it at a
marina in the the town of Westport,
On. They wanted $100.00 CDN
($60.00 US) for it. I could not turn it down. It is a 12' "V" bottom
polyethylene boat we use in electric motor only lakes and shallow
sections of the Perkiomen Creek and the Schuylkill River. We us a 52lb.
Minn-Kota transom mount electric motor on it for propulsion. This is a
basic fishing boat it has no extras what so ever. For the 2006 season
we try to keep at the Green Lane
Reservoir. They have a 10 day
quarantine period to avoid Zebra Mussel
infestation. So will just store
it there and see how the fishing is in '06.

This is our "big" boat
This is a 2001 Crestliner, Angler 16. It is a 16' aluminum "V"
bottom with a 25HP Mariner outboard, 18 gallon live well, rod locker, 3
fishing seats and a 47lb. Minn-Kota bow mount electric motor.
This is our "big" water boat. It has been used on, The Delaware River,
The Schuylkill River, The Susquehanna River, The back
bays of Ocean City, NJ and our
favorite, Bobs Lake. With a top speed of 20~25 MPH, depending on load
and
prop choice, this boat is a great fishing platform. It offers a smooth,
dry ride. It can float in 4", depending on load, of water with the
outboard tilted up and using the electric motor it can get in to where
the fish are hiding. It will carry three adults without a problem and
everyone has plenty of room to fish.
UPDATE 04/03/07
I picked up a 1990 40HP VRO Evinrude outboard. It is mounted and ready
to
go I need to get it out on the water for a test run to see how fast
she'll go now. It has a 17" pitch prop. If it can turn 5500 RPM, The
max the motor is rated for, my calculations put boat speed at 35
MPH.One of the nicest things is the motor is electric start.
UPDATE 04/10/07
I got the new motor out on the water to test. It was a rough
start at first. The motor would only get up to 2500 RPMs. Turns out it
was a bad plug. Once they where changed the motor went up to 5300 RPMs
an went 32 MPH. I am going to try different props to get the RPMs and
speed up.

This is my first boat
I have not idea what make it was. It was a 14' tri-hull with a
40 HP Evinrude pull start. It was good for tubing and cruising
the lakes and rivers. It was not very good for fishing. So it had to go.

This is our "Bobs Lake" boat
This is the boat that comes with the house we rent on Bobs Lake
in Canada. It is just a 12' aluminum "V" bottom that we let the boys
use with the electric motor from our little boat. It gives them
something to fish from, and to practice boat handling, while we
are at the house doing other things.
