This is our camper setup at Lake Glory Campground
during our Memorial Day weekend camping trip. We make this trip yearly
to camp and visit Knoebels
Park.
Knobles is a great amusement park. It offers many rides for young and
old alike. The best part is the free admission to the park. That is
correct you do not have to pay to get into the park, you only pay for
the rides you ride and food you eat, which is very reasonable for a
family. So if you have grandparents that like to watch the kiddies on
the rides this is the place to go.
The picture on the right is from our 2006 trip. We decided to
stay until the Tuesday after Memorial Day. When this picture was taken
it was around noon on Memorial when we where one of four families in
the whole campground. It was a blast.
Sun
Valley Campground
Is located on the edge of Lancaster County and another great campground
we visit often, they offer lot of activities to keep the children
busy. They are located close to the Green Dragon for you flea
market shoppers and Maple
Grove Raceway for you drag race fans.
Otter Creek
Campground
Another great place to camp. Located along the Susquehanna
River, in The
Holtwood Environmental Preserve, offers many
great RV site and a couple of camping cabins. There is a boat ramp 1/4
of a mile away that puts you on Lake
Aldred, the Susquehanna
River, an eight mile long lake that offers fishing, boating, water
skiing and an excellent view of nature. The only place I have seen bald
eagles in Pennsylvania.
