The Ashley Coal Breaker

This was my first attempt at creating a panaramic view. This was actually two photos stitched together. Not too shabby. Anyhoo,
this is the Coal Breaker. The main building is there in the center (I call it the main building because it's the only one with an office).

This shot is another "stitched-together". The building you see here is partially blocked in the first shot above, so I put this up
so you could get a better view. It was taken from about the 7 th floor of the main building. This builiding also housed a BIG generator,
perhaps to power the entire plant.

These two shots are from inside the main building. These two rooms lead into each other on the ground floor.
The room on the left looks like it had two long conveyer belts. The room on the right...you really need to watch your step!

The left shot was taken in the top floor of the main building. This looks like a motor for a large freight elevator.
The shot on the right was taken inside a smaller side building, where I found a child's whicker chair sitting on those pipes.
You really never know what you'll find in abandoned places.

The first shot is the BIG generator I mentioned above. It goes through the floor and is about twenty feet long.
The second shot is of some type of machine, though I have no idea what it is. That's "One-Eye" Joe on the right.
