T.E.C. Disclaimer

      Ok, here's the deal.

I do not encourage, promote or urge anyone, at anytime to trespass onto private, government or public property. If there's signs posted anywhere (No Trespassing, Keep Out, Private Property, Owner Will Shoot On Site, Park Closes At Dusk), then you should obey  them, no excusses. If you get caught on private property, you are on your own. We do not take responsibility for the actions of others. There is no "I saw that that guy from T.E.C. was in there, so I thought it was OK". Nope, if you break the law and get caught, say hello to Bubba for me. Bottom line- You see a sign...turn around and go somewhere else.

Part two is safety. Many (well, most) of these places are very dangerous to be wondering around in. Walls will be found buckling, floors will be weak and sagging, hanging items may be loose and ready to fall. The point is that these places have been left to the elements for a long time. Rain, snow and extreme heat has gotten to places that were not built to deal with them. Simply walking across the floor could mean a fall through one or more stories. Even though I'll tell you not to go, I know you will anyway. So the only thing I can do is say Please Be Careful! Look, Listen and Think. If it looks bad, it probably is...if it makes an odd sound (such as a "crack"), then take it as a warning sign...if you think you'll never make it across, then you probably won't. Bottom Line- Use your head!

Keep in mind that you're in an abandoned building, most likely a far cry from anyone. If you fall and get hurt bad...you're pretty much done for. Sounds kinda morbid, but it's that "blunt" truth thing. If you get caught trespassing, you will get a fine, jail time...or shot. Some people are extremely protective (and crazy) when it comes to their land. . Bottom Line- You want to explore, try to take a buddy.

Lastly, be sure to show respect for the site. Don't destroy walls, start fires or swipe everything that looks cool. Everyone that visits sites like this share the thrill of exploring these places and finding the small treasures of the past. If everyone swipes everything, there's nothing left to find. Destroying or damaging the buildings has the same effect. It takes away from the "old abandoned building" feeling and turns it into a pile of rubble. Bottom Line- Leave it the way you found it.

And on that note...I'm done preaching. Be careful and explore!
