Greetings, my fellow explorers! So you'd like oto become a member of The Explorers Club? Great! It's not that hard, so don't sweat it. There are a few qualifications to becoming a member. So I'll get right to it!
1-You need to contribute. This can be in the form of pictures, directions, history or even just a page that I can link to. Of of these things should be focused on abadoned sites...buildings, parks, zoos, hidden cemeteries, houses, hosptitals, asylums, etc. With any of these contributions, you'll recieve full credit by having your name, or Code Name, posted along with the information you sent.
For the individual, that's all you need to do. BOOM- You're a member. I'll add your name and a brief description to the Members section. Now, since starting to put this site together, I've found that there are ALOT of sites out there dedicated to the same subject matter. If you guys would like to become a member as well, this is for you.
2- Site Content. It's gotta be about abandoned sites. This should be a no-brainer. Let's see the pictures, let's read what you found and any history you've got. I'd also like to know if its accessible or on private property. So I can go!
3- Show Respect- Your site can't show disrespect for these sites. If you show yourself crashing through walls, spray painting, or anything that destroys the place...don't bother e-mailling me. We're about preserving history, not knocking the crap out of it.
For the team and website, that's what you need to be a member. In addition to posting your name (or Code Name), team's name and short description...*I'll post a link back to your site on the Links section and the Members section. You can also copy the graphic above and post it on your site if you wish.
So now what do you do? You e-mail me! Take a few minutes and give me some information. Name, Code Name (Optional), The general area you live, The name (or nickname) of the place you visited and any other information you can or want to give me. Send it to AbandonedSites. That's it! All done.
