| Abandoned Train Cars |
This is yet another find that I must give credit to DROP TOOL for...(otherwise
he will NOT shut up!...LOL).
Anyhoo, He was out with B&E, without me, and looking for something else
when they happened to see these babies just sitting there.
They called me to tell me they also found an abandoned wharehouse not too
far from these train cars. When they got back,
I got directions (finally!) from Drop Tool, and I was off. As of right now,
I have no information on them...yet.

The first two shots show what I believe used to be the train station. Looks
like it's seen better days.
The next two are of the first car I came up to. This shows obvious signs
of being burned on the outside,
while the inside looks OK.

The door on the first car says "New Hope Steam Railway" And the steps I used
to climb in...
and what I saw when I got in. Notice the toilet is simply an opening to the
ground.

So, this is what it's like to go between the cars. Can you tell I've never
been on an actual train before?
Inside, I found some tickets and a pamphlet which says "Jamaica Station,
Jamaica NY" It's dated September 1986.

There was actually two long lines of cars, on separate tracks. At the end
of both were newer looking cargo cars, like the one here.
This last picture is from a side door to one of the passenger cars. Yes,
my mind was in the gutter...it says "Watch the Gap"
