New Drivetrain
Well today i took the day off and took a drive to Reno Nv to go pick up my new Thrid member from Tc Enterprises It consist of a complete rebuilt Thrid Member with New Performance Ring and Pinion with New Traction Lock Posi.I took my old one for thr core charge.I will be putting it in this weekend and doing some breaking in...if ya know what i mean.......lol

1969 C-6 with B & M Transkit. Part # 40230
7/31/04 Well we decided to rebuild the transmission are self. Since three transmission shop want between $900.00 to $1,200.00 to rebuild the transmission I decided to give it a try. I bought the C-6 for $250.00 and the transkit costed 217.85 price including shipping.So i'm saving about $600.00.

Looking at the center picture above you can see that we have to different Reverse Planetary Carrier Assembly.The three gear one came from the transmission we are rebuilding,and the four gear one came out of a C-6 from a truck that i had in the backyard.What I've read is the four gear planetary will give me a lower 1st and 2nd,so we are going to install the four gear planetary.
Valve body was rebuilt with parts contain in transkit....read direction carefully!!!!
Thust washer do not come with the transkit,and as we found out most of the old one where pretty much toasted.....So this is what i'm waiting to finsh it.I order them from TCI for $60.00.
