I asked some of our members of the CustomDolls mailing list to provide  pictures of one of their first creations and one of the most current.  Let's see how they improved from start to finish.  Not bad……

Wild Side Deesse De Millennium
Karen Cooper
Karen has been customizing for just over two years and loves it! "When I was a child I drew hundreds of gowns - who knew I would come full circle?" says Karen.

"Wild Side" was her first complete customized doll.  She has a full facial repaint, full reroot, and has sparsley rooted lashes.

The second, "Deesse De Millennium", is her latest doll. She has been fully repainted and lashes rerooted. Her hair is in a dramatic reverse French braid. Her gown is of holographic lame and features a train of lavendar organza. Opal beads and sequins adorn both gown and train.

"'Lilac Premiere' was my first attempt and she was a complete makeover including sewing which I had never done! It took me 7 tries to get the bodice right!!"

"'Bordello Belle' was one of my most popular creations. She has had a  complete makeover and I added  some fun accessories to her such as an Ace of  Spades in her corsett and a cig in her hand!!  Sewing now comes naturally to me and I feel I just keep improving with each creation I do!!"
