I particularly enjoy taking panoramic photographs, and have posted over 30 to my Flickr set. Flickr doesn't really do them justice as they can also be animated using java, and I can't do that with Flickr.
There are two sets of animated panoramas: a set of pictures showing the progress of some landscaping in my back yard; and a some miscellaneous panoramas..
These panorama pictures were taken using a Kodak DC210 Zoom Plus Digital Camera, a Sony DSC-F717 or a Canon Digital Rebel. Using a tripod several overlapping pictures are taken (often 12 to 15 pictures for a full 360 panorama). The pictures are then stitched together using some clever software called PhotoVista - currently made by Iseemedia . (I chose this software because the pictures are much smaller than the ones produced by Apple's Quicktime Panorama software).
The panoramas are displayed using a java applet (not written by me!) that warps the image so that it appears to be on the inside of a cylinder.
These panorama's used to be on my old web site - they have been re-stitched (remastered?) with the lastest software and the lastest java applet technology stuff has been used to display then for your viewing pleasure.
