Go Home

Terri's Spring Trip 2008
In March I took a week off from work and went to see friends.
I went first to Las Vegas to see my friend Virginia and then on to
California to see Karle. I had a wonderful time on my trip and
I'm grateful to have so many wonderful friends to visit!

Karle's Lovely Pasadena Home with my BMW out front.

Karle's beautiful spring trees in bloom.

Karle took me for a walk in her neighborhood and I found
the light streaming through the plants so lovely.

That night LouAnn, Karle, Connie and I
all went out to dinner with Rick, (Karle's husband)
to the Santorini. I met Karle and her sister
Lou Ann in Greece!

Karle's Atelier with its beautiful light pattern.

Some of Karle's journal creations, so fun!

One fun thing to do in California is shop. We went to this
fun store in Pasadena that has Christmas displays all year.

The most lovely place we went was the Huntington Library.
This graceful archer stands in an atrium near some fabulous art.

There is a new Chinese Garden that just opened at the
Huntington. It was very beautiful. This is one of my
favorite flower photos.

Karle and Connie peek out around the graceful
rounded, Chinese door.

It's supposed to be good luck to touch the tongue
of a Chinese Foo Dog. I'm game!

This is a self portrait I did while walking the gardens.
I love the ethereal quality of the light.

We enjoyed a walk in the sculpture garden.
Here is one favorite statue of mine.

We paused to sketch a fabulous fountain. Here are our
three renditions. I wish the photo were clearer but you
get the basic idea.

Connie bought this pretty paper parasol for hot days.

The first rose of spring in the rose garden.
All the California flowers were a joy.

Our last official visit was to Descanso Gardens where
Karle practically grew up. They are lovely. Karle and
I pause for a photo in the Tea Garden area.

Our last photo together on Karle's new deck.
I had such a great time visiting!
