Terri's Egypt Trip Preparations
As I prepare for the next big adventure, I thought it would
be fun to share some photos of my new toys and thoughts
on the upcoming event.

One really must have a hat for the journey!

My two books. One is a mini journal and one an 8x10.

I found my Egypt scent. For each trip I like to
bring only one scent to wear. It always reminds
me of the place when I smell it again at home.

Several sites advised bringing cheap pens for Baksheesh.
Egypt is very poor and it is customary for travelers to give
frequent small tips. Pens are supposed to be fun to give.
Some people seem to dread this custom but I embrace it.
I live a wonderful, very rich life and I am happy to share my
"wealth" and love. (PS -The tips end up being only pennies).
For pennies, it's easy to be generous!

A fun stamp set from my friend and roommate Karle.
I used them all on the first page of my Egypt journal.

I love to hear the language of the country I will be visiting.
I got Pimsleur's Egyptian Arabic and and listening in my car.
It is very different from other languages I've heard.

I read it's a good idea to bring a small flashlight.
My husband Sean likes gadgets and found me this
bright, 4" flashlight mini for just $5!

My left arm with 3 shot spots, Hep A, Typhoid, and Adult Polio.
They are not painless but they are not the end of the world either!

Journal toys and music cds of Egyptian music I made.
I downloaded Egyptian mp3s from Amazon, easy and cheap.
The same files will go with me on my mp3 player.

Juliana prepares for Egypt in her own wonderful way!

I removed almost half the pages from my Egypt journal.
This time I'm traveling lighter! My mantra Take Less!

I found this cool clip art of a scarab. One just like this
found its way into my January Jam Journal thanks to Mary!
