More Preparations
I spent today preparing my journals to take.
I interviewed two large format journals and rejected
them both so today I made the one I want to take!
It was fun and a little scarry to do. I love the way it came out!

This is the cover of the journal I made today.
I adore the fabric!

The opening page with my name in the cartouche.
The pyramid is the Tiny Pyramid of Terri. This wonderful
project was suggested by Karle. Inside are treasures for the trip.

Some early prep on pages. I did 4 different paper colors.

A page with a photo of my beloved Sean and some
Egyptian poetry. I transfered this from the earlier books.

On the back inside cover I put a feather. In Egyptian
mythology the dead are judged and their heart weighed
against a feather to see if it is light enough. I always want
a light, happy heart!

Another transferred page. This is Karle and I aboard the Hadeel.

This is the smaller book. I purchased a book I liked and
have added some embellishments like these catalog images
that Mary sent me!

Notes for the trip about money and some tiny images from Juliana.

I found a used Egypt guide and cut out maps of the places
we will be visiting and put them into this pocket notebook.

Speaking of a pocket, this notebook has one in the back for special finds.

More to come.

More to come.
