In 1975 I started a journey of investigation into the tiling of the
Pentagon sparked by an article by Martin Gardner in my son's Scientific American
. At that time I became thoroughly intrigued with the question of whether there were any
more ways to tile the Pentagon. I started my search to find possible new ways to tile the
pentagon. Between 1976 and 1977 I discovered four more new types of tessellating

There are now known to be 14 different types of pentagon tiling. To see a chart of
