Bread Stick Twists Thank you, Joey and Vincent
1 1/4 Cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp oil
1/2 cup of Rice Dream (or other milk substitute)
1 egg, beaten
optional topping: cinnamon sugar
Stir all ingredients except egg and topping in medium
bowl until a soft dough forms. Put dough on lightly floured surface, and
shape into a ball using floured hands. Knead dough a few minutes. Cover
dough and let rest for 15 minutes.
Heat oven to 400F. Divide dough into 6 pieces. Roll
each piece into a rope about 15 inches long. Fold each rope in half anf
twist the halves together. Put on ungresed cookie sheet. Brush egg
over dough. Sprinkle with connamon sugar if desired, or leave plain.
Bake 9-11 minutes or until light golden brown. Makes
6 bread stick twists.
Banana Bread
3/4 Cup sugar
1 1/2 Cups bananas (approx. 3 large)
3/4 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Heat oven to 325F. Grease a 9x5x3" loaf pan. Mix
sugar, bananas, oil and eggs in a large bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients.
pour into pan. Bake until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out
clean - 60-70 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes and remove from pan. Let cool
completely before slicing. makes 1 loaf.
Peanutty Chocolate Banana Bread (from a Pampered Chef catalog) Thank you Barb Bense!
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 Tblsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
1 c. mashed ripe bananas
1/3 c. milk
1/3 c. peanut butter
3 Tblsp. Oil
1 egg
1 c. chocolate chips
1/3 c. peanuts, chopped
Preheat oven to 350°. Spray bottom only of loaf pan with non-stick
cooking
spray. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Combine
bananas, milk, peanut butter, oil and egg in a smaller bowl.
Add to dry
ingredients, mixing just until moistened.
Stir in ¾ c. of the chocolate chips. Spoon batter into
loaf pan. Sprinkle
the coarsely chopped peanuts and the remaining ¼ c. chocolate
chips evenly
on top of batter.
Bake for approximately 60 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 minutes.
Loosen
sides of loaf from pan and the remove loaf from pan and let cool on
a
cooling rack.
Banana Bread - Thank you Barb Bense!
½ c. shortening (Crisco or margarine)
1 ½ c. sugar
2 eggs
4 Tblsp. Rich's Whip
1 c. mashed bananas
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
Beat the first ingredients well and then add the dry ingredients.
Bake in a
loaf pan for about 1 hour at 350°.
Zuccini Bread
3 eggs
1 cup oil
3 tsp. vanilla
2 cups grated zuccini
2 cups sugar
3 cups flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
Mix the eggs, oil vanilla and grated zuccini together,
set aside. Mix the the sugar, flour cinnamon, salt, baking powder and baking
soda together. Then combine the two mixes and pur in 2 large or 3 small
greased loaf pans. Bake at 350 for about 1 hour (large pan).
