Micasa is a two-unit Craftsman style redwood bungalow, situated on a spacious corner lot, on a quiet residential street in North Berkeley. Built in 1905 the house sits above the street on its own hill, giving it both a sense of seclusion and a lovely view. It is located within five blocks of Berkeley's Gourmet Ghetto, boutiques, bookstore and bus stops. At equally close range are a public swimming pool, track and library, and a farmer's market on Thursday afternoons. Also within walking distance are Cal Berkeley campus, the downtown theater district and BART trains.

The house, 800 square feet, is a spacious, one-bedroom accommodation offering a full kitchen and a private deck.  Other amenities include an ample fireplace, and comfortable sofa bed. You will also enjoy views from our many windows of our trees and gardens.

Micasa speaks of quintessential Old Berkeley charm, and we have paid attention, with an eye towards comfort, to details such as excellent mattresses and linens. While the house is old, household appliances are not - including phone, cable, washer/dryer and DSL hook-ups.

The Living / Dining Room The living/dining area is furnished with elegant antique furniture and several beautiful and unique period light fixtures. The light, airy room is spacious enough to ensure comfort when entertaining. An inviting window-seat corner is perfect for curling up with a book, or enjoying the sunset, framed by west-facing windows.

	The Kitchen The full kitchen, while maintaining old fashion charm, offers complete modern service and amenities such as full gas range and microwave.
The Bedroom The bedroom offers a queen-size bed dressed in fine linens and is exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Adjoining the bedroom is a full bath with a tub and shower.

	Breakfast Nook and Deck A private deck just outside the kitchen provides a sunny place to relax from morning until mid-afternoon.
	The Garden The garden is a secluded and peaceful place to relax. Many different varieties of flowers and plants draw hummingbirds and other favorite local birds to the area. Our back garden is available for prearranged special occasions.
