This is uncirculated material. I've sat on this for 8 years but with the recent flurry of Danko shows I think it's time to get it out there.

This was shot from the audience by me 6 days before Rick was discovered dead at his house. Initially I thought it was his last concert ever and was afraid of someone trying to exploit it. I've since learned that in traveling back to Woodstock from Chicago he did one more show in Ann Arbor MI on Tues Dec. 7th.

Nonetheless, this is quite a piece of history documenting Rick's complete second to the last show on video. If you know of any Band fans you may want to alert them this is now available. It was a small venue north west of Chicago (he played in Chicago on 12/3) with an even smaller crowd. Certainly less than 100 people. You can see when I pull back for a wide shot there are about 3 people standing in front of the stage with the rest of the floor empty.

Rick was well north of 300 pounds at this point and not looking very healthy, needing help getting up and down the 1 step to the stage. He did 50 minutes then said he'd be back out to sign things but needed 15 minutes to catch his breath. As you can imagine, for the time he was up there he sang his heart out.

It's an extremely stable video for AUD shot. Rather than be 5 feet from him down front to see the show up close I went up to a balcony that was just one row of stools instead to record. I shot off my lap through the wooden slats of the railing with my coat over the cam. Bear with me for the first song as I get things set. After that it settles down to a very stable video with just some shifting between songs. They had a red light on him most of the night so it's not the best lighting and the sound is 'ok' for a camcorder, but not fantastic.

That all said I hope you are interested enough to take a look at this slice of history.
