I borrowed the master soundboard cassettes from the person who recorded them and mastered these CDs from them. When I mastered and tracked this, I decided to put the three shows together on four discs as outlined below. Feel free to reassemble the tracks and burn them in any fashion that suits you. [Note: disc 3 track 8 contains nothing but two seconds of silence, to provide a transition from the solo acoustic material to the full band electric material.] "7-14-85 early show: disc one tracks 1-15, disc two tracks 10-13: to reconstruct early show seemlessly use disc 1 tracks 1-14, disc 2 tracks 11-13 "7-14-85 late show: disc two tracks 1-9, disc three tracks 9-17 "2-5-86 disc three tracks 1-7, disc four tracks 1-18: to reconstruct show seemlessly use disc 3 tracks 1-6, disc 4 tracks 1-18 "You know, now that I've thought about it some more, the way I've arranged the tracks from these shows on the four discs is a little strange. "Maybe I should have just put the early show, in order, on two discs; the late show, in order, on two discs and the solo show, in order, on two discs. And listen back one show at a time. "The way they are presented here, my thinking was discs typically get listened to one disc at a time, so each single disc kinda makes sense as a 'standalone' listen. So disc two has stuff from the beginning of a show (the late show) before stuff from the end of a show (early show). And disc three has solo acoustic before full band electric. "It's kinda like that bumper sticker "Don't follow me, I'm lost" "Quad case tray art included in this torrent in pdf format. A scan of the flyer for the '85 show is included in the torrent. Pictures taken at the '85 show are included in the torrent. A scan of an autographed picture of David Lindley from the time period is included. "lineage: soundboard > analog cassette master> Zefiro ZA2 soundcard > Sound Forge > CD Architect > EAC > .shn files "mastered to cdr by Easy Ed." |
