6/11/03 A few Changes I just made a few quick changes by adding some more details about certain things that I've figured out in the last year as well as additional information and ideas that have been realized recently. Most notably I've changed a few things about the Hunger skill in the Skills Page, some new explanations on the Weapons Page, a couple extra items to the Equipment Selection Page, and some extra info on the PvM Combat Strategy Page. Enjoy! --TheDragoon 7/15/02 And I'm Spent. That's it. I've finally added all major sections that I wished to address. Today I've added the Mercenary sub-section to the equipment page and the final tests done on Mythical Swords and Phase Blades. All that might follow now is just minor changes and fine tuning as people find my many typos and grammatical errors. If Blizzard ever gets this supposed 1.10 patch out, I might change stuff to address any changes that were made in it. But otherwise, it's done! :-) Also, anyone who might be interested in doing attack speed testing can feel free to use my character, "TehUbar" (yes, I know the name is really lame, but I meant it as a joke). He's got all of the IAS jewels anyone could ever want! ![]() And one last thing, just let me say GO WEREBEARS! --TheDragoon 7/8/02 Updates Well, I reformatted a couple of the pages to lessen their effect as eyesores. In addition, I have added some information to the equipment page about the placement of statistic points. Finally, I added Death's Guard as a source of the "Cannot be Frozen" mod to the equipment page. Still to come is information on Mythical Swords and choice of mercenary. --TheDragoon 7/5/02 Nearing Completion I've added Jurts' Attack Rating Guide for Werebears to the site as well as completing the Weapons, Equipment, and PvM Combat Sections. I've also changed the background as many people (Meph and Clas!) have whined about the use of the Husky Logo. Therefore, enjoy this wonderful background that I whipped up! There may be slight modifications in the coming days (as well as the addition of IAS charts for the Mythical Sword), but the basic content for this site has been completed! I hope everyone finds this guide useful! --TheDragoon 7/2/02 The Birth of the Guide Well, it's finally happened. I've decided to put all of my druidic knowledge of Werebear attack speeds, weapon selection, skill usage and strategy to pull together a guide for playing the Werebear. I hope that this site will be a help to everyone, be it showing a player new to the Werebear, the Druid class, or Diablo II the basics of how to play this intriguing character or helping a seasoned veteran to select his weapon and equipment as effectively as possible so that the mighty paws of the Werebear will gain a new level of destruction for him. Now, someone might wonder why I'm qualified to pen this guide. Well, I have long played a druid. I achieved #5 on the Druid ladder in the first week that the expansion was out. I have played through the game with 10 different Werebears over the past year. In addition, I have done a great deal of testing and mathematical calculations to determine the most effective combinations of equipment. My goal is to get this information out to the rest of the noble Werebear players of the world so that it can take its place as one of the most powerful builds of Diablo II. So, in conclusion, I hope that this guide will be a help to all who read it in at least some small way. So enter the Guide... All questions or comments about this guide are welcome! Please direct them to my email at akrinke@u.washington.edu and I'll try to get back to you as soon as possible. --TheDragoon |
