The
war could have ended much
differently.
For instance, had Hitler attacked Russia earlier, the Soviets most surely would have lost. Had the Nazi military realized that the British had broken the Enigma codes, it is quite likely that the Battle of the Atlantic and the Battle of Britain would have had much different outcomes. However, since Hitler was not the military genius he was originally portrayed to be the end result of all of his wrong decisions was that, after nearly six long years, in 1945, the Third Reich fell at the hands of the Allies. However, despite his defeat, the impact of Nazi technology and science, for either good or bad, is still with us today in the 21st Century. For years there has been
persistant rumors and tales about how many in the Nazi scientific community,
who created these wonder weapons, escaped the Soviets and found new lives
in the New World. Much of what has been alleged is known now to be
true, for instance, Operation
Paperclip was the codename under which the US intelligence and military
services extricated Nazi scientists from Germany, during and after the
final stages of World War II. However, other tales and legends, such as
the ODESSA ("Organization of Former SS-Members"), which legend says The Hacker Report has cobbled together a number of previously posted research articles on the topic of secret Nazi technology and weapons programs and UFOs.
