- Introduction -
We
set sail once again on Princess Cruise's Crown Princess but not before sailing
on her sister, Ruby. On January 9th, 2009 we arrived at the Hampton Inn in
Ft. Lauderdale for a pre-night stay before boarding Ruby Princess on Saturday,
January 10, 2009. We had a wonderful stateroom with balcony on Carib deck
overlooking the open decks below. Our week long cruise aboard Ruby
Princess was one of the very best cruises we have ever taken. The nearly
brand new ship (we were on the 9th sailing) was stunning in her decor, service
and entertainment. Oh, and the food, was extraordinary. Following
our week long adventure on Ruby we jumped ship for an old friend, Ruby's sister,
Crown Princess. Although not as exciting as Ruby we none the less managed
to have a great time. The weather was a little off. We missed one
port call, Princess Cay, due to rough seas. We had a grand two weeks,
first to the Western Caribbean and the then to the Eastern Caribbean. We
met some nice people, sailed to some interesting ports and had an overall
wonderful time.
