When I was much younger one of our favorite winter pastimes was the assembly of jigsaw puzzles. We had a dining table set up in a corner of the large living room and its sole purpose was to hold the latest "masterpiece".
I still enjoy a good puzzle. I have a new application from BrainsBreaker© that allows the user to make a virtual jigsaw from anything that can be displayed on a monitor. I even made a trial puzzle from a CNN home page.
It has another nice feature. I can make small "gift" puzzles that contain a limited number of pieces and options for e-mailing to friends.......or posting to a website.
The posted puzzles are executable files ( .exe ) so your browser will probably recommend that you save them to a disk and virus-scan them before opening them. You may want to right-click the photo and tell your machine to "Save Target As" to store them somewhere for later use anyway.
Please e-mail me (thehillonline (at) gmail.com if you discover any pieces missing as I have a small number of extras available.
(At the request of Mrs. Emily Flaubert in Dickens, SD, puzzle pieces are no longer randomly rotated. She became quite agitated about that little quirk.)
With all that behind us, you may play today's puzzle by clicking the photo.
