Athens to Hartwell - May 19-21, 2006

It was warm and clear for our Athens to Harwell weekend.  Kurt, John, Glen, and I drove to Athens for a late dinner on Friday at De Palma's.  Saturday morning Kim, Joyce, and Cindy joined us at our starting point at Athens Area Tech.  
 
     



Kim prepares her BOB trailer.  She's training for her solo cross country trip in about 4 weeks.  I hope to be able to chronicle her voyage here on the Iguana home page  --  stay tuned.


Watson Mill Bridge State Park is about 20 miles into the ride.  It's a great place to rest, and about the last shade until we get to Hartwell, 25 miles later.  It got into the upper 80's and yours truely failed to drink enough.  I rolled into Hartwell with a half baked brain, vowing to drink water every 5 minutes from now on.  Promise!
