We were actually able to get a summer vacation pulled together at the end of the summer with all of us. We did the traditional Minnesota thing of going up north to a cabin near Babbit Minnesota at the Timber Bay Resort http://www.timberbay.com
Most of the time was spent fishing, and relaxing in the woods. We also went to the Soudan state park and ventured down into the mine (2300 feet underground), quite the site well worth a visit. http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_parks/soudan_underground_mine
