TERROR THEATER

2002 STORY:
$200 - That's how much it costs to have a never-ending nightmare. It all started when my wife and I went to that public auction. Up for bid was the estate of Marty Fennig. You remember him, he ran that old movie theater downtown during the 70's and the 80's.

Ordinarily, I am bored out of my mind when my wife drags me to one of her auctions. But an old projector and some reels of some horror movies caught my eye. So I decided to bid on them. If I knew then what I know now, I never would have gotten out of bed that day!

It turns out that some old gypsy woman bid on the same stuff that I wanted. I guess I could have been a gentleman and just let her have it, but the competition of bidding got to me and I kept raising the price until it got to the point where she couldn't afford it.

I got the box of stuff and I was happy because I won the auction, but the gypsy woman felt cheated. So then she recited a curse to me:

'with his greed he did a most foul and fane deed,'
'so I curse I decree and so shall he never be free.'
'let all monsters played on that projector come to life,'
'let him know only pain, misery and never ending strife!'

Now I don’t believe in that hocus pocus mumbo jumbo, so I laughed in her face. I made it a point to go straight home and watch EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE HORROR MOVIES!

Needless to say, THAT was a huge mistake...

Now the old gypsy's curse has come true.
The monsters have come to life and have taken over my home!
Maybe you can make it to the end credits where all the others have failed.
All you have to do is get past all the movie monsters and cut the power!
That will stop the projector and make all the movie monsters disappear.
I dare not go inside myself to try to end the gypsy's curse,
so I'll wait right here for you and I hope that you'll succeed where all the others have failed!
