The New Thirty is an original rock band from Boston that started playing music together in early 2005. Although recently formed, the members of The New Thirty have been involved in Boston's indie music scene since the late 80's and/or early 90's. The band has had successful gigs over the past year at venues like The Paradise Lounge, T.T. the Bear's Place, P.A.'s Lounge, O'Brien's Pub, The Abbey Lounge, The Bulfinch Yacht Club, The Attic and Porter's Bar. Recently selected to play the International Pop Overthrow Festival, the New Thirty has just released its debut full-length CD, "Racecar", on FOC Records. Our master plan calls for world domination by 2008, so keep your eyes and ears open for more gigs and new music from The New Thirty during the next few years - before we turn into "The New Forty". The New Thirty is available to play at your bar, club, festival or private function. To celebrate its release, we'll be selling it at the unbelievably low price of $5 (!) when we play the International Pop Overthrow Festival at The Paradise Lounge in Boston on Monday night, Nov. 6. We've been selected to play the International Pop Overthrow (IPO) Festival, being held in Boston at The Paradise Lounge from Nov 1. thru Nov. 6. We're playing the 10pm slot on the last night of the festival, Monday Nov. 6. The music starts at 7:30, and the Paradise Lounge serves food, so come early, grab some dinner, listen to some great power-pop bands, and hang out until The New Thirty takes the stage at 10pm.
