Matthew 8:13 And to the centurion Jesus said, "Go; let it be done for you according to your faith." And the servant was healed in that hour.
Did Jesus send a bunch of spies to check out the Centurions background before he cured his slave?
Matthew 9:22 Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, "Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well." And instantly the woman was made well.
Matthew 9:29 Then he touched their eyes and said, "According to your faith let it be done to you."
Matthew 15:28 Then Jesus answered her, "Woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish." And her daughter was healed instantly.
Mark 5:34 He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease."
Mark 10:52 Jesus said to him, "Go; your faith has made you well." Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the way.
Luke 7:50 And he said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace."
Luke 8:25 He said to them, "Where is your faith?" …
Luke 8:48 He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace."
Luke 17:19 Then he said to him, "Get up and go on your way; your faith has made you well."
Luke 18:42 Jesus said to him, "Receive your sight; your faith has saved you."
After many healings by Jesus, and his statement, "It's your faith that has made you well", another scene takes place. Jesus while assembled with his disciples asks, "Do you know who I am?" Peter answers, "You are the Christ, the son of the living God".
(Matthew 16:17,18 King James Version) "Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."
Peter was a "personification of faith", he stood for faith. But, salvation is from "faith" in Christ, not faith in Peter.
So Peter knew who Jesus was and Jesus knew who Peter was. Peter was a Rock of Faith. It is faith that Christ uses to build his church. Christ is the Cornerstone of that Church.
And at Matthew 21:42, King James Version, "Jesus saith unto them, 'Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner:'".
See Ps 118:22, Is 28:16-29, Mark 12:10, Acts 4:11,
Eph 2:20 (New Jerusalem at Rev 21:10, 12, 14), 1 Pet 2:6, 7.
Faith is a Rock that the Church is built on.
Christ is the Chief Cornerstone or Top Stone of that Rock.
New Jerusalem is built on Faith.
The Great Pyramid of Gizeh represents a "rock of faith" and was covered with 144,000 "Casing Stones". (See The Great Pyramid Decoded by E. Raymond Capt).
See rear of dollar bill and The Original Great Seal of the United States of America.
The Top Stone or Cornerstone of the Great Pyramid of Gizeh is missing (it is Christ and he is in Heaven).
Jews and Gentiles:
Christianized Jews had sacred religious ceremonies that were important to them. Pentecost was one. Good thing too! Otherwise the 120 would not have been in the upper room to receive the special gift of the Holy Spirit.
Christianized Gentiles came from a Pagan culture (from the Jews point of view). These Gentiles may have had some religious traditions that were important to them. Think about some of this before you try to send Christians of other folds to hell.
Matthew 17:20 He said to them, "… For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you."
