Sound Systems     This page is under construction construc.gif (6095 bytes)

Sound systems always seem to be one of those subjects that's always hot in the largescale hobby... Almost as heated as opinions on scale! I've been around long enough now to read just about every opinion on every sound system manufacturer and each of their models offered. In all that time and reading, I don't think I have read the same two things about any one system yet. So my intentions here are only to give you the reader some sort of idea what I have run into with various sound systems that I have used in or on my rolling stock. Your going to read the good, the bad and the ugly. Hold on!

Below are links to individual pages that outline the installation and use of each sound system I have used. As time (and money) goes on, I'm sure the list will grow.

  1. Phoenix Sound Systems
Coming soon, the BigSound 2K2 with computer interface

  2. PH Hobbies (out of business)
    Y2001 Series SD40/SD45
    Y2001 Series U25B (Aristo-Craft part number 29340)

  3. Small Scale Railway Company
Mini Prototype - Grand Traverse Bay #1950 F Unit

  4. Soundtraxx Sierra
    830109 - East Broad Top
830115-C - Westside Shay with slimline battery
    831027 - SD40 with Nathan M3 horn
