Web Links

Mickey Mortimer has said of The Theropod Archives that it may as well be the sister site to The Theropod Database. I wholeheartedly concur, as our sites are indeed complementary. You want solid information on theropods, you need to start here.

Here are some more links potentially of interest. They are grouped within the following six categories:

Theropod Archives Source List

This is far from a comprehensive list of open access sites, but each entry has contributed to building The Theropod Archives, and many have plenty more to offer dinosaur researchers and enthusiasts. Included are links to open access journals, museum publications, paleontological institutes, CV pages, academic search engines and more. I'll continue to develop this list as I work my way through a backlog of untapped resources.

Other sites I've found useful in my research:

Paleo Blogs

Some of my favorites...

Paleo Art

Web sites with dinosaur imagery. There are a lot of great artists represented here, but also some key names that are conspicuously absent. Sadly, it would appear a number of excellent Web sites have been switched off in recent months.  If you are aware of a site that should be added - whether it's new, recently relocated, or one I simply missed - please email me!

Note: Only "official" artists' Web sites (or image galleries where it is apparent that appropriate permissions have been secured) will be included.

Art Web Sites Available through the Internet Archive: Wayback Machine:

NOTE: Archived sites may load very slowly. If you encounter difficulty, try visiting the Wayback Machine home page and paste the bracketed URL into the textbox provided. I set the links above to the most recent archive date available, but you may have better luck by selecting a different date.
