11/21/09-Oh happy day!!! I finally hit my Mariners goal of hitting 350 in 2009, and with a month to spare. Next year I will be focusing on some of the other teams more so I probably won't set a specific goal like I did this year for the Mariners. Here is the breakdown for this week.

10/31/09-Happy Halloween everyone. My trades are starting to trickle in. I expect up to 8 next week. This week I was fortunate enough to pick up a Giomar Guevara Appleton Foxes minor league card. The Appleton Foxes were a Mariners A affiliate from 1993-1994. Their most famous alum is some dude named Alex Rodriguez.

10/16/09-Sorry no updates in so long. Things have been really slow. I was able to add a nice Jorge Campillo autograph from eBay however.

9/26/09-I was able to add an auto to my collection this week without acutually getting any mail. Let me explain. I keep a small collection of Minor leagues autographs on hand in the event that they ever make it to the show. Currenty I have players like Phillipe Aumont, Mike Wilson, Carlos Truinfel, and Josh Fields in this collection. I don't count count them as Mariners until they actually appear in the Majors. Well welcome to the bigs Adam Moore. I hope you are the future of the Catcher position in Seattle and that Jack Z can find someone willing to take on Kenji.

9/19/09-Big week this  week mostly due to a nice trade and a large 18 card eBay lot, 6 of which were new to my collection. My only black mark this week is that I only added to my Mariners collection. Now that football is in full swing I need to step up my Seahawks collections some.

This takes to to 338 different Mariners which is well on pace for me to reach my goal of 350 by then end of the year. After that I plan to get my pathetic Sonics collection built up some.

9/12/09-Very slow week this week. I did pick up a nice Ryne Sandberg autograph for my State of Washington Sports Hall of Fame collection. Go to the "Other" page to see it. Be sure to check back next week as I plan a huge update thanks to an eBay purchase.

9/05/09-Really good week. Not only did I get some cool stuff for my Seattle collection but some additional returnes as well, including; Tony Larussa, Carl Erskine, & Kerri Strugg. Here is my Seattle stuff for the week

8/29/09-Got some nice Mariners in this week that brings me up to 324. I recently made a deal for some nice Mariners stuff with by friend Obed (ragtop) on thebenchtrading.com, it should put me within a realistic reach of hittng my goal of 350 before the end of the year. Here is this weeks stuff.

8/8/09-Lot of good stuff this week. Most from purchases but a few from TTMing. My hard push for 350 Mariners by 2010 is going well, up to 311 now.
Mike Jackson (Ms)
Rey Quinones (Ms) I now have both Q players for the Mariners
Mike Morgan (Ms)
Butch Henry (Ms)
Bob Kerney (Ms)
Randy Winn (Ms) Certified
Mike Maddux (Ms)

8/7/09-I made an adjustment to my all-time Mariners roster today to include players that debuted with the Mariners this year. Eighteen in all, I did have autos of 4 of them that I had not previously counted (Saunders, Chavez, Jakubauskas, Kelley) so I got a nice little bump up to 304. Still just barely 50% of the all time roster, but I have a big update planned for tomorrow so stay tuned.

8/1/09-It was a great week, mostly because I added some nice autos without spending  much money.
Here is what came in this week
Ron Roenicke (my 300th different Mariner auto)
Steve Shields (Ms)
Owen Schmitt - 'Hawks (gift from Duane on thebenchtrading.com)
Jeff Blackshear - 'Hawks

7/24/09-Five total additions all from eBay and all for the Mariners collection.

This puts me at an 299 for the Mariners. Can't wait to see who gets to be the magic #300. I"m so busy this weekend that I'm leaving Jim Bouton as my Spotlight Autograph of the Week.

7/17/09-Posting on a Friday this week due to a buys weekend. Here are this weeks spoils.
Glenallen Hill-via Trade
Randy Johnson-via eBay
Kasey Keller-c/o Sounders FC
Wow, talk about a few Big Dogs. The only super huge autos I need for my Mariners collections are, ARod, Ichiro and some souch named Rickey Henderson.

I also added a few minor league Mariners but don't count them as a Mariners autograph until they hit the show. Adam Moore and Michael Saunders are both pretty high up on the Mariners prospect watch list so I'm sure one day they'll make the "official" collection.

7/11/09- Good day today. Sounders beat the best team in the league, the Mariners pick up a game on the Rangers, and I get to post my successes.
Both of this weeks successes are for my Mariners collection.
Aaron Sele-Signed all 3 cards I sent.
Brad Holman-Signed both cards I sent

7/4/09-Hope your fourth is good today. Here is what came in this week.
All Through the Mail
Nate Jaqua-c/o Sounders FC
Willie Horton-c/o Detroit Tigers
Wally Backman-c/o Jolit Jackhamers

06/27/09-FINALLY the big week I knew was coming here on Seattle Sports Sigs. I'm going to change how I list these successes so they are a little easier to read.
Through the Mail successes
Janell Burse-c/o Seattle Storm
Stephen King-c/o Sounders FC
Tyson Wahl-c/o Sounders FC
Sebastien Le Toux-Sounders FC

06/21/09-I just can't get over how few returns came in this week. I have sent out SO MANY requests lately. I just know the tide will turn here soon. Here is hoping for next week. I did get Ozzie Timmons for my Mariners collection, also I finally updated my Washington State Sports Hall of Fame section on the "Other" page so it shows all the Autographs I have for that collection.

06/13/09-This weeks returns include Jarrod Washburn (Ms),  Bobby Thigpen (Ms), and Mark Rypien (Other). I was also fortunate enough to have a fellow team collector (expo94)  from thebenchtrading.com send me a few Paul Spoljaric autographs for my Mariners collection. Turns out that Otis Nixon was supposed to be a Jays alumni signing autographs, Nixon cancelled and they replaced him with Spoljaric. So expo94 found one of my home-made cards, made some tweaks to it and came up with a nice last minute item for Spoljaric to sign. The rumor is that Spoljaric liked the design so I'm going to send a few to him as a thank you. As always to see my autographs just go to the appropriate page and click on the player name.

06/06/09-Wow, what a great week to start out the June. I've been sending out tons of requests lately so the rest of the Summer should be busy. Here are this weeks TTM returns: Shawn Kelley (Ms), Iziane Castro Marquis (Storm), R.A. Dickey (Ms), Tom Davey (Ms), Curt Warner (Seahawks), Mark Lowe (Ms), and Tug Hulett (Ms). I also purchaed a nice Bobby Madritsch (Ms) Auto/Jersey Piece off of eBay. After this week I'm well on my way to hitting my goal of 350 different Mariners by 2010.

05/30/09-Nice mixed bag this week to finish out May. All my new autos this week are from TTM (Through The Mail) successes: Shannon Johnson (Storm), Steve Zakuani (Sounders), and Chris Jakubauskas (Ms).

05/23/09-Let us call it Sounders week on Seattle Sports Sigs. A grant total of 5 came in all on Thursday. Brad Evans, Sebastien Le Toux, Fredy Montero, Sanna Nyassi, and James Riley. I also added Endy Chavez to my Mariners collection. NICE!

05/17/09-
A slow weeks bring two via TTM. Both for the Mariners collection: Clint Zavaras and Jim Bullinger.

05/09/08-
New to the collection this week are TTMs Ray Berry ('Hawks), Dave Morehead (Rainiers), and Greg Norton (Ms). From checkoutmycards.com I picked up a nice Freddy Garcia (Ms), and a Doug Strange(Ms).

04/30/09-
Sorry so it's been so long since an update but things have been slow autograph wise and busy work wise. Here are the latest additions. A trade from jeb67 at www.thebenchtradting.com yielded Jose Mesa (Ms). I picked up a nice vintage Joe Coscorart (Rainiers, Indians) from eBay and the TTM machine yielded Gary Matthews Sr. (Ms),  Lyle Blackwood ('Hawks), Mike Shannon (Rainiers), and Jim McAnany (Rainiers).

04/12/09-
In the mailbox this week was Willie Bloomquist (Ms), Galen Cisco (Rainiers), and Don Schwall.

04/04/09-
Great couple of weeks to finish out March. New to the collection: Rico Petrocelli (Rainiers), Jerry Stephenson (Rainiers), Don Gile (Rainiers), Brian Fisher (Ms), Bob Heffner (Rainiers), and Jim Sweeney ('Hawks).

I'm so amped for the season to being. How did you all do in your fantasy drafts?

03/26/09-
In the progress of adding to my menu bar on the lower right. I plan to added: Friends of the Site, About, Contact, etc.

03/21/09-
My bracket looks strong, USA is in the WBC semis, the Sounders FC with their first game ever, and I got a few returns. This is what I call a good week. Through the mail: Dale Sveum (M's) and George Spencer (Rainiers). I got a nice Mike Cameron (Ms) in a trade and even found a Ulysses "Hicky" Redd (Steelhead) autograph on eBay.

03/15/09-
Wow the USA gets 10 Runed by PR better step it up tomorrow or your going home boys. This week yielded Michael Jackson ('Hawks),  and Negro League Star Herbert Simpson (Steelheads). Mr. Simpson kept the custom index card I sent but was good enough to answer my questions and sign the note so over all I was very happy about this. You can see the short Q&A with Mr. Simpson on the "Other" page. Enjoy.

03/07/09-
Not my best week ever but an auto is an auto. Is anyone watching the WBC??
All successes came from through the mail requests this week, they are: Miguel Batista (Ms), Tracy Jones (Ms), Tommie Agee ('Hawks), Tom Umphlett (Rainiers), and Steve Smith ('Hawks).

1/10/09
-This weeks TTM Mail brings Ahman Green (Seahawks), Jeff Cirillo (Mariners), and Mark Leiter (Mariners).  I'm almost done with my site reconstruction. I'd like to add some nice flash amimation to the home page and a memorial section for those Seattle athletes who have left us. Beyond that I'll mostly be doing some tweaking here and there.

1/5/09-Almost done tweaking the site for now and preparing for the re-launch. I won a few nice hard to find autos on eBay today for my Mariners collections and I'm excited about posting them when they come in.

Autograph of the week
1987 Topps Harold Reynolds

Photobucket
Each Week I feature one
of my favorite autographs here!!
Thansk to facebook I was recently able to reunite with a childhood friend that I had not seen in 25 years. He came to town for a family event and we went out to lunch. On our way he gave me this Harold Reynolds auto he got way back in grade school in Oregon, when HR came to speek. He was upset that I already had a Reynolds auto but I will still treasure this one. Thanks for the card Jason, it is now one of my favorites.
