When Polar Lights
released their 1/350 scale refit Enterprise kit, I HAD to make it as a
cut-away model.
Work is going
slow, since I'm letting aftermarket add-ons get on the market and
finishing-up other projects that are higher-up on my do-do list.

Curious to make a
Single Nacelle scout. This 1/1000 scale kitbash from the Polar
Lights Enterprise kit, has a single warp nacelle, made from the
outer-halves of the kit's two engines. the aft upper-hull structure and
the short pylon for the engine are scratch-built, with the kit shuttle
bay mounted on the back of hull. I used Absolute Models' decal for the
upper and lower hull decals, with JT Graphic's Scout-class decals for
the ship's name and registry number.

USS Samurai -
Warrior class Frigate

The Samurai is an
old single-nacelle frigate, as seen on it's decommissioning. the frigate
isn't fast or powerful, since it's primary mission is to support it's
company-sized Federation Marines contingent. the ship has multiple
hastily repaired hull plates and un-painted scorch marks from its last
mission |

FASA's Starship
Combat game introduced several great ship designs, including the Klingon
D-10 Riskadh. This kitbash is
on hold, pending starting over after being destroyed by an enthusiastic
3-year-old. Based on the Polar lights 1/1000 Klingon Cruiser, I
hope to finish it.. some day.

Shortly after the
forming of the Federation, the Federation Council had to take a stand on
the recently threats presented by the Klingon Empire, Romulans, and Xindi. After building a
prototype of the heavily armed, fast ship, Starfleet decided that it
would be better to have large multi-role ships, instead of dedicated
ships-of-war. Despite being constantly modernized, mothballed and
reactivated for almost every conflict that the Federation has engaged
in, the ship has never fired a shot in war-time and was finally disabled
for display in the late 24th century when it was deemed obsolete and
unfit for the Tholian conflict. |
