Pete M's RD-50 dipole system with Dayton 7" aluminum cone midwoofers

_____________________________________________________________________________
These are Chris' RD50 monopoles. He uses a pair of Excel woofers and a sub for each channel

These are Kurt Chang's prototype speakers RD-75 with a 18" dipole sub array. The dipole baffle is a simple open baffle about 24" wide and 75.5" tall. Each dipole sub stands right next to the outer edge of a RD75 tower (in monopole configuration). The crossover is 4th order 170Hz (to be changed to 180Hz) line-level low pass for the subs, and 4th order 180Hz (supposedly, see below) high pass speaker-level for the RD75s. The EQ circuit for the dipole subs has a 20-300Hz low-pass shelving to compensate for the dipole roll off, and another 25-80Hz low-pass shelving to compensate for the mechanical roll off of the driver (due to its lowish Qt of 0.4).

These are ThomasW's fullrange dipole prototypes. The arrays consist of 8 Eton 8" woofers, RD-75 and a line array of Foster planar tweeters. The system is quad-amped with XO points a, 100Hz, 600Hz, and 7.5Khz.

This is Victor's stunning fullrange RD-75 hybrid. Tri-amped with active EQ

These are Slobodan P's RD- planar
speaker with glass baffles.
When he sends in some details about them I'll post that data
