What's a Solfeggio?

Actually, my name is Thom Gustafson. I live in Mt. Vernon, Washington which is about 60 miles north of Seattle. I was born on January 21, 1951 which according to a Pentium chip makes me 45.9999 years old when I wrote this. I think the guy in the picture is relatively older.

I'm a professional musician and usually play guitar and pedal steel, with an occassional bass gig. I play weekends locally with the country/rock/blues/funk Buckaroo Blues Band.

Most of my income is derived from teaching guitar and bass at the Northwest School of Guitar.

Solfeggio? Solfeggio [It.] originally meant vocal exercises sung to a vowel (a,o,u) or to solmization syllables do-re-mi-fa-so-la-si-do. It can also mean any rudimentary study of music where notational symbols are immediately auralized, e.g. sight singing.
