CJ, an Arabian X Andalusian cross gelding was Velvet's first born.
In April of 2000 he arrived early in the evening. Right away he loved us and we
loved him too. Only shown once as a 2 year old, he managed to beat his own sister
for the gold medal in best movement. He started his ridding career as a
4 year old and is proving to be a great ridding horse. CJ is 15.2 h and much wider than his "little" sister.
CJ is sired by the 16.3+h
black PRE Spanish Andalusian Caruso J.
Now a gelding, he was sired by Maestro,
a black 16.2h 4th level dressage and exhibition stallion. Caruso J's dam,
Farandula II, is a bay 16.2h imported from Spain 4th level dressage mare.
CJ's dam, Telasecret , is a black
15h Ariston granddaughter. She also has the
great Polish stallion, *Witez II twice in her pedigree, as well as *Bask,
*Fortel, and Fadjur. Telasecret, AKA Velvet, is a quiet trail horse, but has lots of
saddleseat horses in her background. CJ, like his full sister, Cleo, is registered
as half Arabian, half Andalusian, Iberian Warmblood, and Hispano-Arabe. CJ is
becoming the replacement mount for David's old mare, Esta Bein, who is getting
up there in years now. CJ will be a great replacement.
