Cleopatra Jones is a Beautiful 15.2h UC Davis tested homozygous
black Arabian/Andalusian cross mare. She is solid black, no white anywhere on her.
Born in May of 2001, she has done well in
halter classes as a yearling and a 3 year old and as a 4 year old was the main horse used in a
"Sport Horse in hand" demonstration.
Cleo is sired by the 16.3+h black PRE Spanish Andalusian
Caruso J. He is high school trained and has been
in several parades. Caruso J, is sired by Maestro, a black 16.2h 4th level dressage and exhibition
stallion. His grandsire is Dejado, considered by Robert Vavra, famed equine photographer and author,
to have been one of the
ten most beautiful horses in the world. Dejado's grandsire is Nostalgico, a black PRE
stallion
and another Vavra favorite. Nostalgico is captured in the pages of the Robert Vavra book,
Equus.
Caruso J's dam, Farandula II, is a bay 16.2h imported
from Spain 4th level dressage mare. On Cleo's Andalusian side is the 15.3 bay PRE stallion Maluso 4 times.
He From 1953 to 1977 Maluso served as a military stud and is one of the most recognized names in Spanish Military breeding
and one of the most revered stallions in Andalusian history.
Cleo's dam, Telasecret a black
15h Ariston granddaughter, is also graced with the great Polish stallion, *Witez II
twice in her pedigree, as well as
*Bask, *Fortel, and Fadjur. Telasecret, is a quiet trail horse, but has lots of
saddleseat horses in her background. Cleopatra Jones is registered as half Arabian,
half Andalusian, Iberian Warmblood, Iberian Sport Horse and Hispano-Arabe.
