Update - April 25, 2009
Hello all,
We are working on finding a meeting place so we can get together and see where everyone wants to go with this effort. One of the ideas may be to create a coalition with other local organizations to further advance our efforts to reduces taxes & spending. I haven't heard anything back from the Governor or President yet. Will keep you posted.
Didn't make any headway with the Kitsap Sun in getting a more fair and balanced portrayal of our event published. I heard from a few people who cancelled their subscriptions and more who have previously cancelled them due to the Sun's biased reporting.
FYI ~ There is a meeting of the Kitsap 9/12 group today at 4:30 p.m. at the Central Kitsap Christian Church on Stampede Boulevard.

-------------------NEWS FLASH-------------------
4/15/09 8:00 p.m. WOW!!!!!!!! I don't even know what to say! That doesn't happen often!
Our "tea party" was a HUGE!!!! success. About 250 of us gathered for 2 hours this evening and sent a loud resounding shout out to our politicians that we are DONE, DONE, DONE! with the tax and spending program! We gathered 213 signatures on the Petition to the President, and sent some tea on its way to the bay and the Governor.
It was so encouraging for us to get together this way. There was a cameraderie and sense of purpose that was heartening. I felt like I knew you all immediately and we all pitched in together to make something. Oh, gee, I remember this, it's THE AMERICAN SPIRIT!! What an amazing thing it is.
There were so many eloquent speakers, I was moved by our Veterans who sacrificed so much for our Country and for our freedom. This is what is all about. From the 13 year young man, to our eldest, we all care about this Country and want to improve it. We all want to preserve our way of life.
The signs were great! There were so many good ones! See the photo gallery.
There were many good ideas and other organizations were announced that we can get involved with. I will get those items posted tommorrow evening.
I just wanted to say thank you all and let you know how many people we had! More to come tommorrow!

The Bremerton Tea Party is an ad-hoc group of citizens who are fed up with exorbitant taxes and wasteful spending.
If you are like-minded, let your government representatives know we are Taxed Enough Already. Protest the spending of trillions of dollars that will leave our great-grandchildren a debt they must pay.
Together we can make a difference.
