THE FIRST GODS

     In the aftermath of the war of the Forgotten Gods, their abandoned weapons fashioned from the four Elements littered the battlefield. Still driven to fight by the divine will lingering within them, the Elements coalesced and began the war anew...while Daskaandolon, the Living Chaos, drifted in the Void and filled it with his laughter.

     Then, from Beyond, came Sephri. Using her abundant feminine wiles on the masculine spirits that drove the Elements, Sephri convinced her "suitors" to unite with her in a grand endeavor. Careful to stroke their egos, she told them of her plans to create a World with their help, and explained how indespensible each of them truly were. Ignoring the threats and pleas of Daskaandolon, the Elements joined with Sephri and gave birth to a new world called Minarra.

     Sephri then filled this new world with all the [mundane] flora and fauna that would flourish upon land, sea, and air. But she failed to banish the spiteful Lord of Chaos before she began, and this lapse cost her dearly. Her Creation, so carefully planned, was uneven at best. Vast stretches of land existed where no green would grow, while others were dominated by huge forms of flora that dwarfed the animals that lived amongst them.

    As Sephri wept over her tainted work, two unseen Powers came to her from Beyond. Join with us, they whispered, and our children will tend to the imperfect pieces of the world, making them as beautiful and beloved as any other. Trusting in the sincerity and grace of these unseen gods, Sephri agreed...and soon gave birth to Raiche and Sha'rhiz, who made good on the promise of their nameless fathers.
