Sieté Thornyfield  NG Elven Fighter/Mage  [Carol Bradford]:  Sieté was, without a doubt, the hopeless romantic among the Companions. But while other players might make such a character an utter nuisance, Carol succeeded in making her elf a strong and capable adventurer as well as an occasional starry-eyed dreamer...

     The daughter of a minor elven noble of the First Kingdom, Sieté decided to leave behind her "expected" role and take to the open road.  Always on the eye for a good prospect, the elfmaid had a few brief encounters, but nothing to write home about. Nothing, that is, until she met Arion Willowrun, a fellow elven noble and a young army officer just starting his career. The two fell for each other on the spot, and before long it was obvious that they were meant to be. 

     Despite long absences and vast distances, the two managed to keep in touch by infrequent posts, and were helped by caring and understanding parents.  Within a month of quest's successful end, the two were married in the fabled city of Sorrosenni, where three of the Companions (Brother Darius, Adept Chrysania, and Adept Ror) each conducted a different part of the ceremony.    

     Her professional life was at times as uncertain as the future of her relationship. Though skilled as both a warrior and mage, Sieté was occasionally torn by the desire to abandon her pursuit of one and devote her life to the other. By the end of the quest, her career path had yet to be resolved...

     A role-playing sampler:

•      It was a lovely midsummer's eve on the banks of the Sollisti, the light of the three moons bathing the glittering river in splashes of silver, gold, and sapphire blue. [Insert your favorite love theme here.] And here we find our happy couple, nestled in each other's arms as the whole world seems to drift by with the current.  It is a scene of utter peace and contentment...and packing enough saccharine to give even the hardiest of DMs a case of terminal cancer.
       What to do, what to do...think, think, think, think, think...
       Yes! Just the thing to make the evening truly memorable—a dozen or so dead bodies floating down the river, tinting the waters with that perfect shade of crimson. O, rapture!..
•      In a post-quest adventure, the Companions reunited to locate the ancient Mikskeki stronghold of Starkeep, deep in the Iron Marches. While exploring the ruin, the Companions hear a muffled rattling inside a sealed chest. Ready to smash the whatever-it-is to bloody bits, the chest is opened—
       And out flies an automaton of Mikskeki manufacture, a magnificent eagle of the brightest bronze. Sieté is the first to reach for the fascinating device, and it readily responds to her commands. The pet she's always wanted!
